Day Trips in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Yelapa
Take a day trip (or stay for a few nights) to Yelapa, a quaint village nestled into a private bay with a beautiful backdrop of mountains. Yelapa is a quiet town but is host to many day-trippers who come to enjoy the quiet solitude and different atmosphere. You can still parasail and buy trinkets on the beach, but on a much more relaxed scale than PV ¼ couple of restaurant/bars, can walk up to waterfall (through town), stop at the woodworking palapa where the men fashion beautiful items out of rosewood (partake of a shot of raicilla, local moonshine, while you're there!)
Las Animas, Quimixto, Majahuita
Los Arcos
3 large rock formations visible from the condo. Under the rocks are natural tunnels which make it a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.
